Scott Greve – Head Coach
Scott Greve will in 2017 assume the role of interim head coach of the Franciscan men’s and women’s tennis teams, his fourth year as a member of the coaching staff.
The Barons, who boast a 31-26 record since his involvement in operations, seeks its fifth straight AMCC title and NCAA tournament bid. While the women’s team will compete in the NCAA tournament in May after capturing the AMCC title last October.
Under Greve, the Barons look to build upon a successful 2016 crusade, one in which they went 12-10, and a perfect 6-0 against conference opponents. The team advanced to the second round of the NCAAs for the second time in program history.
Greve also helped to champion a partnership with the Western Area YMCA in Coraopolis, PA to give Franciscan an indoor facility when the weather in
Steubenville is not conducive to outdoor play.
Before arriving at Franciscan University in 2013, Greve coached tennis at Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney, OH, from 2011-2012.
He received his BS in business administration from the University of Dayton, with a minor in theology. Greve also works for the University as a Major Gifts Officer. He and his wife of 21 years, Jill, reside in Steubenville with their eight children.
